What to expect after you apply

We know you're weighing your options, so here's exactly how our process works, how long each step takes, and what we'll need from you along the way.

Most candidates go from application to their first placement in about two weeks. You'll hear from us at every step.

  1. Apply online

    About 12 minutes, today

We ask about your experience, availability, and the kinds of families and ages you work best with. Nothing to upload except a photo if you have one handy (you can add it later).

You'll get a confirmation email the moment you submit.

  2. We review your application

    Within 2 business days

A real person reads every application. If it looks like a fit, you'll get a personal email with a link to pick a time for a video call. If it's not the right fit right now, we'll tell you that too.

  3. Video call with our team

25 minutes, at a time you choose

This is a conversation, not a test. We'll talk through your experience, walk through a couple of everyday childcare scenarios, and answer your questions about how placements and pay work.

What we'll ask of you: at the end of the call, a quick electronic signature on our background-check authorization so the next step can start the same day.
  4. Screening

About 5 to 7 business days

Our screening partner contacts your references, runs a background check and driving record, and reviews public social media. This is the same screening we tell families about, and it's why they trust who we send.

What we'll ask of you: let your references know to watch for an email. That's the step that most often slows things down, and a quick heads-up from you makes a big difference.

Not CPR/First Aid certified yet? We'll send you a course link on day one so you can complete it while screening runs, not after.

  5. You're in

    The day your screening clears

Your profile goes live. We'll schedule a short welcome call to walk through how matching works, how you get paid, and who to contact, and we'll send a welcome guide you can keep.

From there, we reach out whenever a family looks like a good fit. You're never obligated to accept a placement.

What we look for

At least one year of paid childcare experience, 18 or older, eligible to work in the U.S., and current CPR/First Aid certification, or the willingness to get it. Beyond that: reliability, warmth, and good judgment.
