Two ways to work with us
Pick one or do both. Plenty of our caregivers start on call and move into a placement.
On-call sitter
Once you're approved, you get access to our app where families post bookings. Claim the ones that fit your schedule, skip the ones that don't.

- $17/hr and up depending on experience, plus $2/hr per additional child

Nanny placement
Part-time, full-time, and temporary roles with families who want a professional, not a babysitter. You're hired directly by the family, paid legally on payroll, with a written work agreement we help set up.

Rates vary by role, hours, number of children, and region. Terms are between you and the family; we help you get there.

Sandhills Nanny Co. is a referral agency. We find the families, vet them, and introduce you. The family hires you.
What that means
- You work directly for the family, not for us
- Your pay is set with the family and paid by the family: through the app for sitter bookings, through their payroll partner for placements
- We don't take a cut of your hourly rate. Families pay our fee separately
- You're free to accept or decline any booking or placement we bring you
What we still do for you
- Screen every family before you meet them
- Get rate, hours, and expectations agreed in writing before day one
- Step in if something goes sideways: a late payment, a schedule change, a hard conversation
- Keep bringing you work. Families come to us so you don't have to chase them
One thing we ask in return: bookings and scheduling go through the agency, not around it. It protects you as much as it protects the family.

- 18 or older with real childcare experience
- Clean background, driving record, drug screen, and social media
- CPR and First Aid certified, or willing to get certified
- Smoke-free
- Reliable and responsive. This is the big one.
On the job
- On time, every time
- Limited phone use, no sleeping on the job
- Hands-on and engaged with the kids
- Clear communication with families, through the app
- Leave the home as clean as you found it, or cleaner
