Our services
Every way Sandhills Nanny Co. can help your family, in one place. From a date-night sitter to a full-time nanny, a new baby on the way, or a wedding weekend.
Welcome to Sandhills Nanny Co.
Finding childcare you trust is one of the bigger decisions a family makes. We started Sandhills Nanny Co. in 2021 to make it a little easier, with caregivers we've personally interviewed and a team that actually answers when you call.
Some families need a sitter a few times a month. Others need a nanny who becomes part of the household. Everything we offer is on this page, with pricing where we can share it upfront. If something's not here, ask us. That's what we're here for.

Sitter questions
Do I need a membership to book?
No. You can book one time for a $25 agency fee per booking. If you expect to book more than once or twice a month, a membership usually costs less.
How far ahead should I book?
As early as you can. Sitters claim open bookings, so more lead time means a better chance yours gets covered. We do our best with last-minute requests, but we can't guarantee coverage on short notice.
Who are your sitters?
Local caregivers with childcare experience, each interviewed by our team and cleared through background, driving record, drug, and social media screening. All are CPR and First Aid certified. Sandhills Nanny Co. is a referral agency, so sitters aren't our employees, but every one of them is held to our standards.
Can I share preferences for my sitter?
Yes. Add them to your booking notes, such as experience with infants, a second language, or comfort with pets. We'll do our best to match.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
You can cancel free with 24 or more hours' notice through the app. Cancellations inside 24 hours carry a fee. The details are in our terms and conditions.
Is there a minimum booking length?
Yes, 3 hours. You can book for less, but you'll be billed for 3 hours of care.
What areas do you cover?
Our core sitter area is Moore, Lee, Cumberland, and Hoke counties, roughly 30 miles around the Sandhills, including Fort Bragg, Fayetteville, Sanford, and Raeford. Elsewhere in North Carolina is available by request.
Hiring a nanny
We find, screen, and introduce nanny candidates who fit your family, then guide you through hiring. Placements are available anywhere in North Carolina.
Consultation
A discovery call to talk through your schedule, your kids, and what you're looking for.
Register
Complete the client application and pay the $300 registration fee, which is credited toward your placement fee.
Search and screening
We source candidates for your family. Each is interviewed by our team and screened before you ever see a profile.
Interviews
Meet the candidates we think fit best, with a working interview with your kids if you want one.
Offer
Final screening takes about a week. Then we help you shape the offer, and the placement fee is due when it's accepted.
Introduction and support
We send a formal introduction to you, your nanny, and our payroll partner, and stay available after day one.
What it costs
There are two parts: the nanny's pay, which you pay them directly as their employer, and a one-time agency placement fee.
Temporary placement
Up to three months of care. Includes a 30-day replacement period.
Part-time placement
Ongoing part-time schedule. Includes a 30-day replacement period.
Full-time placement
Ongoing full-time schedule. Includes a 60-day replacement period.
Optional upgrades
Added before your nanny's first day.
90-day replacement period
180-day replacement period
Annual backup care membership
Sitter coverage for days your nanny is out.
Placement questions
How do you find and screen nannies?
Every candidate is interviewed by our team, and we check references, background, driving record, and drug screening before we present anyone to you.
What kinds of positions do you place?
Full-time, part-time, temporary, and live-in nannies, plus nanny shares between two families.
How long does it take?
Usually 4 to 8 weeks, depending on your schedule, location, and how specific your needs are. We'd rather find the right person than the fastest one.
Can I interview candidates first?
Always. You'll interview every candidate we present, and you can add a working interview with your kids if you'd like one.
What if the nanny doesn't work out?
If the placement ends during your replacement period, we'll search for a new nanny at no additional placement fee. You can extend that period with an upgrade before day one.
Who handles payroll and the work agreement?
Your nanny works for your family, not for us, so you're the employer. We'll refer you to our payroll partner and provide a work agreement template to start from. We're not attorneys, so the agreement isn't legal advice.
Do you place nannies in my area?
We place nannies across all of North Carolina, including the Sandhills, Fayetteville and Fort Bragg, the Triangle, Charlotte and Lake Norman, Greensboro, Wilmington, and the Outer Banks. Not sure about your town? Just ask.
Newborn and delivery care
When it's time to head to the hospital, your caregiver is already lined up for the kids at home, day or night.
Get to know each other
Before your due date, your caregiver does a meet-and-greet and a date-night booking with your family so the kids know them.
On-call hold
Around your due date, the caregiver is held for you and won't take other bookings. The hold is $100 a day, paid to the caregiver.
Baby time
When labor starts, the caregiver comes to your home and their hourly rate begins once they clock in.
Wedding and event care
A dedicated caregiver for one family, or a full kids' room for your guests. We cover weddings, private parties, and corporate and military events across North Carolina.
